Zoo

Shane's sister and her kids came in from Missouri. This is the first time we have seen them in over 4 years and the first time the kids have met. So what does that mean.....lots of pictures. We will start with the zoo. This is the first time we have taken Alyssa, she liked it a lot.

This was Alyssa and Abby's favorite part, they played with these little animals forever. Just giggling and waving at them.
My little monkey!!

Alaska

Shane went on a fishing trip to Alaska again this year. Here are a few of the pics from his fun trip.

This halibut was over 200 lbs. It is huge!

This was the only day they were able to go salmon fishing, and caught their limit in a few hours.

Monkey See....Monkey Do!

Once again my beautiful daughter escaped us. Shane thought that she was with me and I thought she was with him. When we went looking for her and found her in our bathroom. Some how she climbed up in the sink, and found mommy's make-up. This is where I found her, putting on eyeliner.

She even knows where eyeliner is supposed to go. So funny, what a mess!

She's definatly a girl

We are very much into playing dress up lately. Alyssa always has to have her necklaces, bracelets, sunglasses and of course mom's high heels on. The sad thing is she can walk better in them then I can.

Have you ever wondered how little kids can have so much fun splashing around in the rain and puddles.....Daddy let Alyssa play in the rain, she had a ball and ended up soaking wet!!

Shane's passion

For all of you that do not know my husband......HE LOVES TO FISH!!!! He would fish over doing anything else. He is getting really good at it also. He has been going to bass tournaments for the past two years, and has been placing pretty well in them. Last November he and his buddy took first place in the first annual turkey bowl. He was pretty excited, so I thought that I would share a couple of his pictures with all of you. I'm sure that there will be more to come.

These two pics were from an off day from bass fishing. Shane and his dad decided to go fishing for pike at Yuba instead. They are huge fish huh!!

The winning fish from the Turkey Bowl in November.

Alyssa, sometimes I wonder...

So I know that everyone thinks their own kids are the best, smartest, cutest, ect. ect. But, sometimes I wonder where my little girl comes up with things. She will be two in September, but I think she is very advanced for her age. The other morning I was making breakfast, and couldn't find her. I went looking, and this is where I found her, in the dryer. When I asked her what she was doing in the dryer, she just looked at me with her big blue eyes and said, "Mommy it echos in here". Now I have no idea where she learned the word echo, or the meaning of it. It just blew me away, and she was pretty funny sitting in the dryer. Silly girl!!
